To start, a character may move up to 3 distances on a turn. These distances are listed below. Look for ways to temporarily increase the amount of distance your character can move per turn.
Example: If you are considered ‘nearby’ an enemy, you must move 2 distances to be in melee. If the same enemy moves to ‘close’ distance, 1 distance moves you into melee again. If the same enemy moves to a ‘far’ distance, you must move 4 distances to be in melee again (See Distances).
The GM will determine your initial distance from a person, place or thing.
Scaling an obstacle half your height or taller requires a maneuver action.
Your movement may be temporarily reduced by mixed, failure, or major fail rolls. The GM will determine the penalty duration.
If incapacitated and Fallen while moving, your movement is reduced by 1 point. The point must be regained through character progression.
In general, though especially in situations, distances are represented as follows:
Far
Out of Range
In Range
Nearby
Close
