Resources Units are used to trade for goods and services. Determine what type resources are in your world and what they are used for. Some resources are considered Rare Components that give an item special properties. The amount of resources looted or scavenged may be determined by the GM and dice table. Most adventure modules will provide details for the world’s resources in the source material.
Resource Units are used to fabricate basic small, standard, and large items. They can be looted, scavenged, traded for, and stowed in a character’s storage (See Storage). The meta dice table determines the quality of a fabricated item. In fabrication terms, a basic item is considered a “Frame”, e.g. sword frame, rifle frame, etc., and can be given special properties.
A Rare Component, (elemental stones or specialized tech core, etc.), can be slotted into a basic frame to unlock its special properties. Like basic resource units, rare components can be looted, scavenged, traded for, and stowed in a character’s storage. Note: Although rare components are resource units, 1 rare component requires 1 storage slot to stow, 4 standard resource units can be stowed in 1 slot (See Storage). When a character finds a rare component, they can spend an Instance during Idle Time to install it, and the meta dice table determines the special item's new quality.
Once an item is made special, it can only be used when special points are spent on special actions.
